Blanket Wrap Shipping
Some furniture and other pieces are more effectively shipped with a blanket wrap carrier. Blanket wrapping is the technique typically used by van line movers, when pieces are securely wrapped in furniture pads rather than boxed. However, sometimes only a few pieces need to be moved, and van lines traditionally find it most efficient and cost effective to move large loads of 2000 pounds or more. They are not set up to move only a few pieces of furniture.
